Group Classes

HANDBELL GROUPS – Classes will resume September, 2019

Instructor: Vicki L. Scott

Age requirement: Ages 9 – Adult (must be 9 by September 1st.)

Beginning Handbells 

Class size: 8-12 students only (Additional classes may be offered at alternate days/times if there is enough interest)
Students will be introduced to the art of handbells, including proper techniques in bell ringing, as well as reading music to find notes on the music staff. Intermediate techniques will be introduced as time and proficiency allows. Family and friends will be invited to join us for a performance at the conclusion of the semester, as we demonstrate what we have learned.

Intermediate Handbells I

Class size: 8-12 students only (Additional classes may be offered at alternate days/times if there is enough interest)
This class builds on the foundation taught in Beginning Handbells. Intermediate techniques, as well as more complicated rhythms, will be introduced.  Family and friends will be invited to join us for a performance at the conclusion of the semester, as we demonstrate what we have learned.  
*New participants with prior handbell experience may request an audition to attend this class or beginning students may take private lessons to build the foundation necessary to join at this intermediate level.

YOUTH ORCHESTRA

(For intermediate through early advanced level students that play any woodwind, brass or string instruments) 
Instructor: Elizabeth Taylor  – Audition required for all new participants.

Age requirement: Ages 9 – 18 (must be 9 by September 1st.) 

Spring Session: Every Wednesday 4:30 – 5:30 PM, March 20 – May 22 The fee will be determined once student auditions, depending on the number of weeks left to participate.
